It is not surprising that these Top 10 Nollywood stars own their clothing line because from their flawless  and fashion sense, it is expected of them to showcase their “fashionpreneurial” abilities.

So, it was not surprising that they decided to imprint their mark in the fashion industry by opening clothing lines for themselves. Below are Top 10 Nollywood stars with clothing lines:

  1. Genevieve Nnaji – “St Genevieve”

Nollywood screen goddess, Genevieve Nnaji is among the first nollywood celebrities to open a clothing line.

Her clothing line known as St Genevieve is a fashion brand that infuses her personal style into creating fabulous dresses for women. Simply put, the aim is to bring out the super diva in you.

Nnaji’s clothing line boasts of a wide range of casual to stylish ready to wear dresses, trousers, tops, and skirts.

  1. Jim Iyke -“ Untamed Closet

Nollywood bad boy actor, Jim Iyke, who is acclaimed as the most fashionable bloke in the Nollywood industry in 2011 launched Untamed Closet, his clothing line.

Jim Iyke’s clothing line caters for the teens (Boys and Girls), adults (Men and Women) and corporate world (Black Label).

When the clothing line was launched, Jim modeled as the face of Black Label, which is the high end line for men’s suits, along with several other New York models for the teen line boys/girls, and the female line.
Ewan Walker, celebrity makeup artist was the exclusive makeup artist and production manager for Untamed Closet. Mr Walker has worked with names like Chris Brown, Monique, Sean Kingston, Jessica Alba, amongst many others.

  1. Kunle Afolayan – “Kunle’s Kembe” 

Nollywood filmmaker Kunle Afolayan recently launched his clothing line called Kunle’s Kembe.

Kunle’s clothing line showcases an array of beautiful unisex, African print baggy styled pants inspired by the Kembe – baggy trousers popular among the Yorubas.

According to the filmmaker, every piece is signed by him @kunleafo, adding that it’s premium and affordable.

Speaking about his style, he said: it is one of the things about our heritage that has captured the pop culture. The motive is trado-modern, and I am glad to be promoting it. This attire is one of the products that I intend to also use to promote Lagos. It is one of the souvenirs that tourists will have to take away from here subsequently. And I must add that all fabrics are locally sourced and so are the hands used in piecing them together. It is hundred percent Nigerian”.

  1. Femi Branch – “B R A N C H”

In 2015, Nollywood actor and musician Femi Branch floated his clothing line when he launched promotional pictures of his clothing line which was said to have hit the Nigerian Market.

  1. Omoni Oboli –   “Omoni Oboli by AVE”

Award winning Nollywood filmmaker and actress, Omoni Oboli in 2017 unveiled her own clothing line which she tagged, “Omoni Oboli by AVE”.

Omoni’s new clothing line is in all sense embodies her style and personality. She however, collaborated with one of Nigeria’s finest fashion designers, Ayo Van Elmar, and they have promised to give us spectacular outfits born out of the hard work of both of them.

  1. Tayo Sobola – “Clean Stitches”

Beautiful Nollywood actress, Tayo Sobola better known as Sotayo is among the Top 10 Nollywood stars that have clothing lines. she also in May 2018 launched Clean Stitches, her clothing line alongside  Lip Stain (Pop It)  to her already growing range of businesses.

Talking about her clothing line, she said: , ‘Clean Stitches is a bespoke clothing line that caters for both the female and male clientèle as well as kids, providing them with trendy styles that are solely unique to the brand while ‘Pop It’ on the other hand is a just a branch from the several collections of our beauty products that we would be launching out soon’.  ‘Pop It’ comes in beautiful colors that will blend with all events and outfits.

  1. Nuella Njubigbo – “NuellAfrik”

Nollywood actress, Nuella Njubigbo -Chikere, who is married to ace Director and Producer Tchidi Chikere, in 2016 joined her colleagues  in the clothing line business to unveil her fashion line, NuellAfrik.

NuellAfrik is a collection of top notch clothes, handbags, and accessories, all made in
African prints.

  1. Adaora Ukoh – “Adaora”

Another nollywood celebrity in this list of Top 10 Nollywood stars that own clothing line is the big bold and beautiful Nollywood actress, Adaora Ukoh recently sampled some sexy plus size models to style her new clothing line, ADAORA. She described her line as an aim, to target the plus size women and celebrities. The Collections include design names Red carpet diva, Plump bohemian chick, Party rider, Office and Casual look.

  1. Alexx Ekubo –“ Yomi Casual”

Alex Ekubo joined the Top 10 Nollywood stars that own clothing lines when he collaborated with Yomi Casual, menswear brand to explore the style loving side of himself.

The excited Alex wrote: Growing up, I’ve always wondered what it will be like designing a collection for the public. What will be my key areas of focus? Well for me, comfort is key.

“I always want to not just be seen as comfortable in whatever I’m wearing, but to actually be comfortable in it, also, less is more – so less dramatic designs and a more subtle statement piece that screams BOSS AND MATURITY. Hence the creation of the new ALEXX EKUBOFOR YOMI CASUAL COLLECTION”.
